Two days vacation in Sheraton Taitung Hotel 台東 桂田 喜來登酒店 遊趣 推薦

In Taitung, located in Eastern area in Taiwan, Sheraton Taitung Hotel is only one Starwood Hotel with SPG Category 3 so far. Sheraton Taitung Hotel is located in the downtown area of Taitung, which offer many services for free including shuttle bus running between Taitung train station and the hotel. The service of shuttle bus is through reservation. Which means you may call Sheraton Taitung Hotel to book your arrival time at Taitung train station. Then Hotel staff will pick you up to the hotel on assigned time.

 It is easier to find the hotel by its obvious signboard.

Even the location of hotel is not close to Taitung train station, but it has shuttle bus service and there are lots of famous Taiwanese cuisine nearby. You can ask for the food map from front counter and enjoy those local traditional delicious foods by just walk in few minutes, also very convenient to buy fruit, traditional snacks, and other staples.

The lobby of Sheraton-Taitung is very retro and classic, with dark marble floor design and traditional Chinese festival decoration.

The service of Sheraton-Taitung is quite good. You can feel all the employees have enthusiasm in service, they will say HI to you with smile when meet you in the the counter or elevator.

The elevator is transparent, super retro style. You can see the square and structure of the hotel when lift up. But the elevator move very slow, must have patience to wait for the elevator.  

The room I staed is Deluxe kind bed, non smoking in 18th floor, ordered with SPG Cash & Points. I don't get promotion to suite since famous Taiwanese Singer aMEI (張惠妹) is holding her mother's 80 years birthday party in that weekend and her family occupied most of the rooms. However, I was arranged in the executive floor to access the Club lounge.

The room have a long-ranged view in 18th floor.

The hotel provide fruits and cookies as welcome ceremony.

Move to the Club lounge since the room is not have much equipment to enjoy.

The Club Lounge seems re modeled by a suite room, since there is a big walk-in closet in the lounge. The Club Lounge offer kinds of snacks and drinks, including wine, beer, juice hot tea and coffee.

The happy hour also dedicated in the 19th floor Club Lounge, It's disappointed since the food offered in the happy hour don't have much different with the other time.

There are some magazine and news paper in the lounge, and have two TVs, you can ask for the remote from desk clerk to change the channel.

There are two breakfast option if you are a Platinum Preferred Guest, one is in ALiHi buffet in 1st floor the other is breakfast set in the moon bar at 8th floor.

The AKiHi buffet is very abundant, have Chinese and Western cuisine and the most special food is Taiwanese steamed pork buns (刈包). We were waiting for 20 minutes to have the seat since the hotel room were fulled.

To avoid waiting again, we choose to use platinum authority to have the breakfast in Moon bar in next date, there are 3 kinds of cuisine for choice, Chinese, Japanese and Western cuisine. We choice Japanese and Western breakfast set for each, both are delicate and delicious. But! we wait for 40 minutes to have dishes on the table, it cause our journey delay.

Except breakfast sets, moon bar also provide bread and snake in breakfast time.

The beverages in moon bar. If you want to relax in the night, you can also take some drink in 8th floor moon bar or 19th floor Sheraton Club Lounge. 

If drinks are not in your favor. They may choose Sauna at 3rd floor for your relaxing.

The hotel also have outdoor pool and Fitness GYM, but I don't have opportunity to use it.

If you are an outdoor person, it is available to lend bikes to have a short biking tour to Taitung Forrest Park and Tiehua village.

The hotel is good and service is great, the only regret is that I was attracted by the picture of bar 16 form the hotel's official Website but it only opens for special activities.
